|
Leads efforts in the development of the overall technical training systems correlated with continuous process improvement efforts at location. Manages, supports, participates in, and conducts technical training programs for the operations; determining training objectives, writing training programs, including outlines, text, handouts, tests, and designing laboratory exercises. Manages and implements systems for documentation and tracking of related training activities. Supervises Terre Haute Employee Development Coordinators. All elements of supervision are performed including but not limited to fostering change, communicating vision, mission, values, goal setting, performance management, training and development, plus work assignments, etc. Evaluates best methods to develop and deliver materials plus training programs that meet organizational needs. Recommends/delivers appropriate solutions including, but not limited to, specialized internal training; on or off-site vendor delivered courses, seminars or workshops; courses supported by Bemis Organizational Development & Training Department (OD&T); or Human Resources.

Requirements |

Bachelor’s Degree desired in the area of education, training or human resources. Five or more years experience in a position where the coordination of training and education were assigned duties. Organizational development skills are a plus. Prefer experience working in a union / manufacturing environment. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to relate well across the organization. Excellent analytical/problem solving skills are needed. A desire to work collaboratively with management will be essential to the success of this position. Organizational, administrative and supervisory skills are essential. Knowledge and experience in training development, adult learning theories, program design, presentation skills and evaluation are needed in this position. Comfortable with the use of technology to deliver communications and learning through the use of the Microsoft Office products of Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Able to use facility software and time keeping systems to support training and documentation.
