Job Description
    The Director, Content Strategy is responsible for providing ESI’s executive team with strategic-level direction to identify, and help implement, alternative delivery formats to our worldwide client base. ESI is seeking a professional who can:
  • Design an overall blended learning strategy and architecture using existing, and to-be-added, components of ESI’s online programs such that they form an integrated solution to our client base
  • Identify and design the best online methods to drive proficiency for our clients after a training event
  • Refine and develop online tools and techniques associated with ESI’s courseware
  • Upgrade our online program-level assessment instruments that provide suggested learning interventions based on the participant’s assessment performance
  • Repurpose existing content for use in a performance support system or as single-topic training interventions
  • Assist in the selection, implementation, and upgrading of our eTraining courseware into a new LMS
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with senior management, other Product Line Managers, Curriculum Managers, and other stakeholders to create an overall architecture and strategy for online programs for the company
  • Manage medium to large cross-functional projects within time, budget and quality measurements, through the development and execution of documented project plans
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to help grow new and existing courses across our client base by helping to develop appropriate messaging and positioning language for marketing products and/or delivery formats through a wide variety of mechanisms
  • Works closely with ESI’s Chief Technology Officer, and Vice President for Product Development, to select the most appropriate technology for online programs
  • Represent ESI at gatherings and conferences describing ESI’s products and capabilities in online programs
  • Develop an annual budget for online programs activities


Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree; advanced degree or certificate in related field recommended
  • 8+ years learning and development experience with at least 5 years in design, development and deployment of online programs and products (e.g., assessments)
  • 3+ years experience in designing, deploying, and using live elearning programs (e.g., virtual classroom and web meetings)
  • 3+ years experience in selecting and deploying LMS applications
  • Experience in content management systems (CMS) deployment (preferably with Documentum
  • Experience with SCORM and AICC compliant software standards
  • Strong knowledge of corporate training practices and marketplace including current technologies and blended solutions
  • Experience deploying Web 2.0 technologies (wikis and blogs)
  • Strong knowledge of curricula design and education methods
  • Knowledge of learning infrastructures
  • Proven success launching and managing complex products
