|
Full-time professional with knowledge and experience in Instructional Systems Design (ISD) and adult learning methodologies to support and manage course development and maintenance projects for synchronous instructor-led and online training materials as well as asynchronous online training materials. This position has a strong emphasis on project management skills in addition to instructional design competence. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage instructor-led, virtual, and online course development and maintenance or customization projects
- Apply project management skills to projects in a virtual and global environment including identifying requirements; managing projects to baseline cost, scope, and schedule; managing stakeholders, and managing changes
- Ensure creation and management of appropriate project management and legal documents including but not limited to Letters of Engagement, project charters, project plans, logs, budget tracking, etc.
- Hire and manage contractors as needed
- Ensure copyright permissions are obtained as needed
- Conduct course development needs assessments and create course analysis and design documents
- Facilitate stakeholder relationships throughout the course project lifecycle, including appropriate communications with external (vendors, contractors) and internal stakeholders (e.g., product managers)
- Participate in testing and pilots of course materials
- Ensure that course development/revision projects are managed to meet or exceed stakeholder expectations
- Escalate project issues as they arise
- Plan and facilitate meetings
- Prepare and submit status reports to manager
- Monitor, collect, respond to, and incorporate instructor and student feedback on courses
- Provide course development product and process knowledge through formal and informal presentations to ESI business development and program managers, clients, and prospects
- Research latest theories and best practices on instructional design and adult learning in a global environment

Requirements |
 |
- Minimum of 4 years experience developing adult education/training courses
- Knowledge of and experience in applying Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodology in both instructor-led and online synchronous and asynchronous environments
- Experience authoring content in a single-source environment preferred
- Experience with one or more web-based platforms preferred
- Experience with one or more synchronous “virtual” online platforms preferred
- Strong project management skills
- Minimum four-year college degree or relevant work experience
- Experience with competency identification, development, and assessment is preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative to solve problems
- Strong organizational skills
- Positive team player
- Sensitivity to details and deadlines
- Ability to interact well with all levels of ESI management and staff
- Proven experience with client/stakeholder relationship management
- Strong facilitation skills
- Customer service oriented
- Working knowledge of HTML, XML, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project
- Ability to travel globally on an as-needed basis
- Knowledge and experience of ESI processes and procedures a plus
